    gear knob removal + blowtourch

    reading some other posts about this and it seems its a pain in the ass to do..

    Ive got a irmy one and ive got a blowtourch on the back of my van, would it be easy to heat the fecker and yank it off with a pair of grips??

    Could try it but be careful. Click my sig, the original gearknob is plastic moulded around metal.

    pmsl.. a blowtorch?! That's a bit extreme isn't it I just pulled mine off iirc.

    Ive tried doing it by hand and its stuck! wont even shift by a few mm

    Cos I'm cheap and own an Envoy My gear knob was just some cheap leather aroung some even cheaper foam. I just pulled it right off

    ive done it!! took 5mins! heated it a little, got pair of grips on the knob and very gently twisted it a little each way then yanked it upwards went flying and almost poked my eye out with the grips!!!!

    Got got to door my irmy doorpins now!
