    help removing cdr500

    hi im trying to remove my standard cdr500 as i need to change a bulb in the heater consoule. I have bought 2 sets of the pins from motor world and they just wont work any one any other ideas thanks

    Firstly have you taken the grub screws out?

    You need to push the removal tools in until there is a definite click - that's them locking on the clips. Then just pull the tools towards the doors whilst pulling the HU towards you

    there are no srews in mate i have pushed them all the way in and pulled them towards the doors but they just slip out

    Have to try quite a few times, mine took about 10 mins for them to lock in, push them in with the palms of your hands, may hurt but they should lock in.

    If you still can't get your headunit out.. you will have to remove the center console. Tutorial in howto's and release the clips either side and it will slide out.

    Except you need the radio out to remove the center console as there are 2 screews to the side of the cage

    Push the keys in at a angle so that the pins are going outwards and as you pull them out pull your hands apart to hopefully they act on the clips and release it
