    sunroof and total closure help

    astra coupe 2001 SE1 model

    my electric sunroof dont close when the key is turned and held but the windows do ???

    is this correct ???

    i want to fit a total closure device but i want windows and sunroof to close on a double press(ie deadlock) of the keyfob.

    what do i need to do to make the sunroof close ???

    iv just done a look in the searches and i can see that the sunrof isnt suppose to close in standard form.. but the thread didnt finish and never said if it could be changed so that a total closure device could cure that and what would be needed.

    As long as the sunroof is just a slide version you could get a universal window closer and wire that in with the switching wire linked to the factory system

    i dont no if there is a difference between cars , but my 2002 hatch s/roof closes auto, & with the closure kit.

    well mine is a tilt/slide electric sunroof but it dont work with the key.... i did see an old thread bout a relay the had a way of closing the type of sunroof i have but it did not explain where to get it or how to fit it or the cost.

    pls anyone shed some light on this !!!

    i will have to look into this as im no eletrician. i take it this just attaches to the sunroof power somehow ?

    The unit will interupt the sunroof wires where they go into the motor

    TBH if you have no real electricial knoledge I wouldn't attempt it
