    Question roof rails

    hi guys just quick one i know its been mentioned many times i want to spray me roof rails whislt in work tomorrow but how do i get them off

    5-door, try to unclip them from the bottom of the windcreen and work your way up to the top of the windscreen, then stop... Now a quick yank and that should do it... Do NOT try and do this slowly as there VERY easy to bend and put out of shape...

    Hope this helps.

    P.S. I found no screws holding mine down under the seals as quoted in the Haynes Manual!

    Start at the bonnet end, and slowly pull and waggle them upwards, away fron the screen. As they start to lift, start working your way backwards - if you've got the knack you'll get them off without busting any of the clips.

    I stripped mine down -removing the plastic winsdcreen seal, and long rubber strip only the edge before spraying. You'll see how that comes off once the rails are off the ar

    Removing, 'quick' or 'slow' whichever works best for you...

    Ffoeg, are the sill/rubber strip available on there own?

    They don't appear to be on EPC.

    But the windscreen bits is a doddle to get off a scrap one - it just clips in and is held there by what looks like a few dobs of solidified earwax.

    The rubber roof strip is glued on only for about the very last half inch, and I was buggered if I could get that last bit off
