    Diesel power

Anyone know what sort of power and consumption can be expected from the mark4 diesel astras?

After the T8 is sold it's going to be save-for-a-house time, so my next car must be sensible on the inside before I make any mods on it.

I'm particularly interested in the figures for the 2.0 DTi, anyone know what they're like?

2.0 DTI is 100BHP and 170lbs/ft as standard and I get just over 400 miles to 38quids worth of diesel (never run the tank out or let the low level light come on)

If driven carefuly I imagine this figure would be higher.

2.0 Dti im currently on 350miles.... and the needle is on half. Thats with motorway driving and in and out the city Best i ever got was 600 miles to a tank but that was with the fuel light coming on (motorway)

But on average expect 425 Miles to a tank of fuel.

425 miles is about right for a tank, and I'm almost all city driving.

Good engine, excellent motorway plugger, and is pretty good round the town. Not the most refined unit in the world - you will get funny looks from truck and Land-over drivers.

Ignore the 1.7DTi, you'll rip your eyeballs out coming from an 888. They're incredibly slow.

IMy 2.0DTi pulled 111.5hp on the rollers, and I'm about to get a remap, which should see it close to 140hp and well over 230lb/ft

What mods were done between that run and the one before where it was closer to 100bhp?

Airbox mods and Vectra C intake. And de-kinked the vacuum pipe to the actuator solenoid.
