    Vag cars...

which would u pick outa this list?

    A3 TDI 130 etc?

    A4 TDI 1.9
A4 TDI 2.5 (never knew this engine existed so not sure how it compares with normal 1.9s)

    Mk4 Golf GTTDI

going from a astra coupe se2 so not sure what i should really go for outa the list?

wanting vag diesel...at least 130 and decent spec and size...

Considering a 2001/2002 A4 since they seem like a lot of car for the money?

Personally, I would also consider the Passat/Supurb 2.5 in that list and the Leon Tdi IF it HAD to be a VAG diesel.

But in terms of not wanting to feel underpowered coming down from a se2 Coupe - the A3 is a good bet, higher residuals on the Audi brand over the VAG and Skoda variants mean you will have no trouble selling it later on and not lose too much money (but pay more in the first place)

Others not to dismiss, although the VAG diesel is good - there are others to think about at the moment.....

Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD - poor residuals - GM engine shared - driving dynamics good
BMW 320td Compact - rear suspension limitations- you may wish you had the bigger brother
Honda Accord 2.2CDTi - a suprising entry to diesels by Honda - quite a flyer and good residuals
Toyota Corolla 2.2 T 180 - new release by toyota - rock solid residuals and a bit stealthy - it doesnt look like a 180bhp car.
oh - and the 3.0 Signum/Vectra is also worth a punt!
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

see i'd rather go vag diesel wise as everyone i've spoke to have had nothing bad to say about them....

also regard them as being better built imo etc.

as for the leon, wud get a diesel but the only one i like is the cupra r look-a-like but they come in at 13-14k for a 55 plate as u can only get them new which is a coont.

Hows about the Ibiza Cupra FR TDi? 160 ponies in them. Or did you want something bigger?

Can't go far wrong with any of them, plenty of nice Golf TDis about.

New A4 2.5 TDi. The new shape A4s are lovely lookers and the 2.5 TDi is a very capable engine.
