    Powersounder !!!!

    Hi Guys

Just had my car in at local vaux dealer as my car alarm is going off all the time....

They said its my power sounder that is faulty and its gunna cost £97

they said that needed my Security code to do it though. Ive read the HOW TO and it doesnt mention anything about security codes....

    Any ideas

Is it simple to replace, any problems???

IIRC, someone once said they were £37.50 + VAT, but do not quote me on that.

Apparently, all you do is turn on the ignition and remove the sounder and replace with the new one. Not heard of the security code thing though.

There's a moral there - but I don't think I need to spell it out for you

i think they use the security code to "pair up" the new unit with your security system. But like people say you dont need it if ya do it yourself!
