    how much can i lower my mk4??????

    hey guys! im new here but i eat sleep n breathe vauxhalls!!! i have a mk4 astra 1.6 sxi on 17s and i was wondering how much i can lower it? i want to drop it 60mm but will it be everyday driveable?? i will be fitting a full kit and my wheels are a et46 offset, help me guys!!!!

    most people lower 30mm on just the springs, a 40mm drop would require a full suspension kit and 60 would be possible although I personally wouldn't with bigger wheels on.

    Yes you can drop it 60 .... you'll need shocks and springs, or coilover kit

    depending on what kit your thinking of getting will depend how practical your car will be.....

    Think of speedbumps, steep inclines etc....

    i was thinkin of getting a g-max kit cos im on a bit of a budget! has anyone else lowered 60mm??

    Stay away from gcrap sorry G-max because there pants, go for eibach springs and for a damper either bilsten iv heard there very good or koni.

    Its cheaper to spend the money once than to sell your kit in a year or so and pay out for more suspension then.

    Imo you dont really wana go lower than 40mm as you wont make speed bumps with the frotn splitter ect.
