WTF's going on with my petrol???

OK today my petrol light started flashing, so i put exactly £5.00 of unleaded 95 in from BP. I've drove my car 9 miles this evening, not going over 2000 revs, and my petrol lights come on again

whats going on with my petrol consumption, its only a 1.6 8v, but its sucking juice like its a hummer h2.

    any ideas ppl???

Well a fiver doesn't get you much these days - especially if you have a flashing light.

Probably nothing at all - the flashy light thing isn't that accurate and can be affected by a load of things (especialy slopes)

Trying filling it up and then see how many MPG your doing

sounds about right .. flashing light = 20ish on the trip comp ... £5 will take u to about £50-55 miles (range) .. drive 8 mile or whatever takes u down to mid 40's .. petrol light comes on solid.
