    Milage Changing on white dials?

I just bought a set of white dials with 25k on the clock, ive got a y-reg astra (mk4) with only 13k on the clock (thats genuine). I spoke to vauxhall and they said they can only change the mileage on new sets of dials, so what are my options? Is there anyway to reset the clock?

the only option you have if u want your genuine 13k is to buy new clocks mate! when i changed my clocks to white dials i made a note of milage on old clocks and then on the new ones when fitted, that way i could tell what milage is on the car at all times if you see what i mean.
Vauxhall can only change over the mileage by tech 2 if the clocks have done under a 100 miles i was told by mthe dealer

yeah i got caught out on ebay too, seller said the mileage could be changed over but vauxhall said theres a protection circuit built into the clocks, once they go over a 100 miles or so they lock-up preventing milage adjustment ie clocking.
Just fit them and take a not of current milage on your clocks, then make a note of the new milage and you can do a calculation in the future to obtain current standard milage

It probably was a genuine mistake, but I still dont want to pay £47 for something im not going to use (No offence mate but I think you're going to have a real problem selling the car saying ive calculated the mileage as this: #####) and with it only having 13k on it to start with it looks dodgy enough :P

why don't you just take them apart and put the white dials into the original clock?

theres nothing dodgy with my car or the milages, i had to replace the clocks, the old ones had this milage, the new ones have that milage, if i was to sell the car i would be honest as i could be, i have mot's etc to back up milages so i dont see anything wrong with what i have done as i am not trying to trick anybody or do anybody out of money.
as rusty says just pull them appart and use the needles and the faces for your dials then sell on what you have left
