    Traction control

    Hello guys ive just bought a 51 plate 2002 vauxhall astra 1.8 16v coupe bertone and i was just wondering if the traction control on these can be switched off as i cant find a switch cheers.

    Welcome to the site.

    You'll need to fit the traction control switch. It's about £20 worth of parts and about an hour's work. Full details in the Howto section of the site.

    Does this meen that if i dont have the perchase the switch then the tc will be on all the time.

    yup, fraid so.......my 1.8 16v sport come with the switch already installed.

    Pressing it illuminates the TC light on the dash, displaying that the TC system has been disabled.

    Feck knows why it has it.....doesnt seem to kick in soon enough imo.
