    Driveshaft Gaiters

Need to do some driveshaft gaiters soon but not done them before. Looked at my haynes manual and it says you might get some transmission oil leaking when you take the shafts out.

It also says that for models after 1994 that gearbox oil is not required to be topped up so what if it leaks oil? Will it leak oil? Any one help clear some things up for me please?

    Cheers, Bri

depends what gators your doin son. inner or outer? if inner then you'll have to remove the shafts completely hence loose oil so you may aswell change the whole lot while your there. if outer then leave the shafts in the box(no oil loss) just drop bottom ball joint and hub nut.
