God Dam Lights And Ice Dont Mix

right started dropping my ice back in last night (only had it 3-4 months and not got round to it till last night) all the wiring is sorted but put my kicker amp in to run the 6x9's and im waiting till dinner today to get a new fuse for my vibe but was checking the kicker last night and my lights where dimming on vol 20 (alpine vol)

searched the forums as i was thinking about having a bigger altenator but came accross yellow top batterys (knew about them but now im not sure what to do) whats going to be better for me as im not going to be going around on full bass and blasting it out but the misses likes it quiet loud plus i dont really want to spend a shed load as iv a baby due in a few months.

First step always is to upgrade the big three.....

"Replace the factory ground wire(earth) between the battery and the car chassis with at least a 4-gauge cable.
This will help minimize voltage drops caused by high resistance in the stock cable.
Also replace the stock charging wire (positive) between the battery and the alternator with at least a 4-gauge cable.
If the alternator has a chassis ground (earth) cable, upgrade that wire too. This is relatively inexpensive and should be done for every system 500 watts or higher in total amplifier power"

I didn't know about doing that, I ended up buying power caps when I had a big install. Is it quite easy to trace the wires away from the battery? Where is the chassis ground to the battery connected?

I would say get a big battery up front it helped mine alot, more so than the big three although coo is right this does help.
