    squeaky steering (video)

    here's a vid:

you'll have to turn the volume up quite loud because the vid is quiet for some reason (you should be able to easilly hear the engine burbling away if you have it at the correct volume)

it only recently started doing this, and doesn't do it from cold.... any ideas what it may be?

Sounds to me as if your PAS pump is noisy, i'm sure george bandit may help as he has had problems with his power steering.

definitely comin from the PAS pump. What type u got?

TRW Generation 1 (slim reservoir with ribbed metal housing)
TRW Generation 2 (stubby reservoir with smooth metal housing)
    Delphi (angular odd shaped reservoir)

I'm guessing u probs have the Gen 2 model. If its all working correctly just giving strange noises Id recommend draining the fluid and wacking in some fresh green stuff (Vx Part # 93160548 - £6.50/ltr) u gotta use the genuine vx stuff - dont use std ATF fluid!

Unfortunately this noise is usually followed by the pump giving up completely - more so in the known to be faulty TRW Gen 1 models...but the sound may be an indication of this. If worst comes to the worst and u need a new one - let me know and I'll help ya out!

Hopefully a fluid change will help matters.

the power steering is all working fine, but after a little while it starts doing this squeaking and feels a little "rough" as it squeaks if you get what i mean.

    anyway, i'll check!
