    Autoglym Lifeshine

Having been a big fan of AG products I'm now tempted to buy the lifeshine kit for my new car when it finally arrives

I know it still needs a top up polish etc but I have all that anyway. Is the lifeshine any good, is it worth the money. One of the biggest probs I have is that where I park at work is used as target practice by birds, I thought this lifeshine would be best as it claims that bird poo won't stick (as well).

With my last car, I had a coat of AG extra gloss protection, and still the poo stuck to that, I had to use a kitchen scourer to remove it, which it did OK but left tiny marks which polished out. I do not want my new car marked at all

Never use a scourer on your car, it has an abrasive surface!

I carry a bottle of meguiars Quick Detailer in the car if I find any bird poop.

Quick squirt of that and a wipe with a cotton cloth will remove it.

Nothing will stop bird poop drying onto the surface of your car, especially in warm weather.

Won't use a scourer on the new one, at the time I couldn't get it off any other way.

never ever use a scourer!!! if you have problems with bird droppings then try to wipe off asap with quick detailer other wise use clay to remove dried on stuff.

Personally i would not bother with the AG lifeshine.
I would also insist that the dealer does not valet / prep the car in any way i would want to clean it from day one.

Otherwise you will be looking at nice swirly car from day one!

lol not a metal scourer or brillo pad, it was a kitchen one with the sponge on one side and the harder bit on the other.

Even so mate, i dont even put a sponge to my wheels let alone my paintwork.

As a sponge will trap small grit & dirt and induce those nice swirls and scratches.

I also use two buckets one for washing and another for rinsing and a proper lambs wool mitt not a sponge! As well as i good rinse down to start with to get rid off all the serface dirt.

Miller just one bit of advice then, before you leave with your car inspect the paint work very carefully,

If it's a dull day ask to see it inside a workshop etc with halogen lights as this will show up swirls etc.

Look at this Taken from another forum that a dealer did to his car this is just one of many i have seen mine inc.

Not trying to sound too disgusting.......but human spit is more than enough to remover the toughest of bird poo.
NO.......I dont mean clear out your nose and hock a lugey on your car.....just gentle spittle left for a few seconds and rub gently left to right then up & down should be enough to remove it.

This is a tried and tested method used by myself and it hasnt let me down yet!!
