Intermitent electrical fault, maybe! Any ideas.

    Hi everyone,

I seem to have an intermitent fault with my cruise control and brake lights!
One minute CC working fine then not working. Checked the fuse diagram and said it is on the same circuit as the brake lights and part of the dash display. Dash working OK, but checked fuse anyway and it was also OK. Then CC decided to work again. Then last night on the way home from Bristol airport, CC not working again, and I noticed a red glow on the spoiler. Could only be from the centre brake light in the back window (on same circuit as CC!!). Sure enough, at 1:30 in the morning, checked the brakes lights with my mate when we got home and the left and right brake lights were out and the centre was on, but got brighter with the brake pedal pressed. Checked them again this morning, as was taking car for MOT, and sure enough everything is working again, brakes, bulbs, lights, CC, the lot?????

    Confused! Any ideas?

Tell me what you've done, not what you're going to!
