Are all Mk4 struts the same?

I need a new / second hand strut for my Sri Turbo, are they all the same? I can use all the other parts from my bent one to put onto a normal one if they are the same.

Earlier ones were made of aluminium, later ones a heavier alloy (buggered if I'm to remember what! Ask Geoff). I think that's all you need to be careful of. Lee's would be fine.

Vauxhall list about 20 + different types of shock for a G, so you need to get the right one to match the other side.

Have a look on the ones you've got now and there should be a 2 letter ident code.

As said - later ones were steel tho (which is in fact a heavy alloy of iron )

I have a pair so they would be matching.

    Postage isnt a problem.

Parcels to go will deliver anything up to 25KG for £15.

Could do both delivered for £50 if you want them.

There are significant differences in physical dimensions between units for standard ride height models and lowered models.
