Question 225-40-18 On Coupe - Will They Fit?

Anyone know if 18s with 225-40-18 tyres will fit on a Coupe Turbo without mods? Assuming the wheels are the correct size. It is also lowered 30mm.

    Assume the correct offset.

then they should be okay from what i've been able to gather. it's a difference of 1.67cm in radius from 215/40/17.... but as you're only lowered 30mm if you are going with the correctish offset i can't see it being a problem.

oh, and at least 8 people here run that size tyre if you look at my old thread here http://www.m1gst.com/vb/showthread.p...highlight=size

iv had these on 8J rims for a few months now. if you carry loads on the boot then you will need arches rolled, as mine have started to pull forward. fronts are fine...

you will love the handling BTW

What suspension height are you running? Also, the handling comment - was that sarcastic? Is it good or bad?

Also - anyone know the standard Coupe Turbo rims width (7.5") and offset please?

Oh, and what tyre size did the 888 Coupes have as standard?

I had 225/40/18's on my cavalier on 7 1/2 rims and the tyre sat flush with the rim.

I loved it with the 40 profile on.

There was more give in the tyre so didnt skip about as much and the ride was good too as the tyre wall soaked up the bumps.

225 will fo on a 7" rim fine but I dont think there are many 7 x 18 wheels avalible anyway
