Been offered a 3.2 24v V6 engine, cheap. Will it fit?

I've seen the posts on converting the 2.5 V6 engine but AFAIK I've not seen any mention the 3.2. I've been offered the engine and all the relevant bits needed out of a Omega 3.2. I've been given a choice of 3 engines, oldest is 52 plate newest is 04. Depending on mileages I'd say the 04 was favourite. Price for the engine and all it's bits is £350, which I'm sure you'll agree is a real bargain. Trouble is will it fit in a 5 stud Astra? I think I'm right in thinking they are RWD though so that could pose some problems.

Anyone done this already, or in the process of doing one. Sure MatG will be able to cast some light on the subject.

If I do the conversion I'm gonna stick a turbo on it as well

You would probably need some parts from a 2.5 FWD engine aswell.

Anything is possible, IIRC the block is the same size on the 3.2 as the 2.5 just bored out a bit with different pistons etc. The 3.2 can be fitted to a Vectra and it has been fitted to a Calibra.

Courtenay's is your best bet for advice.

BTW - the turbo option is not advisable as the temperature around the 6th cylinder gets rather high due to inadequate cooling.

£1300 include gearbox, ecu, intercooler etc Danny? I fancy something different, still fancy the idea of getting 180bhp out of the 1.8 but that would cost me as much as the LET conversion.
