    Auxillary 12V Socket

    Hi guys....

Mk1 Zaf.. small 1.6.... with no spec... so I thought... Spec it up a bit.

Done a few things and now trying to add the Auxillary socket at the back....

Loom is there, behind the wadding... but no current.
Fuse 33 controls it and is working fine.
It is on the same fuse as the towbar (not fitted) am I missing soething to complete the circuit? Or am I being a numpty?

I have a circuit tester to hand.... the red/white +ive feed is not registering a reading at all. negative earth is fine...

Has anyone done this.... cheated or other.... This should be so simple!

Cheers.... (I did a search.. but if I missed it just chuck us a link and sorry for tagging you about!)

not being cheeky but have you tried testing the positive with the ignition on ?To be honest not sure if this makes a difference any way but its worth a try.

erm, no. the bass amp runs around 60 amps on full chat which is kind of more than the 120w that its suposed to run from the socket. it coped for a while with the 1x 15" i had (backed up with 2x caps) it was a temperary solution to a problem.
