Don't expect any major miracles or drastic changes. After I fitted mine I only really notcied a bit more pull higher up the revs, where before there was a slight flat spot.

Best thing I noticed was the noise!

does your always make the noise at a certain RPM or just now and again, to me it just does it when it wants and i think its because i have the veccy C pipe attached to the intake hose because when i just used the hose it did it all the time :S.

could it be because its getting more air in through the Veccy C pipe that im not hearing the noise as much?

No idea! I'm not convinced how much of a difference the intake pipe makes when you're using a cone filter, unless it's all enclosed.

The noise just gets louder as the revs get higher with mine.

Not sure if this is of any use to you.. Its a video showing the difference in noise when the standard airbox is de-restricted in an Astra..

    Hope its of use..

Just a K&N 57i. My filter is in the open air and relies on taking in the ambient air running over the surface of it. An intake pipe pointing at the filter will probably make no difference at all

An enclosed filter will draw it's air all from the same place, therefore the position of the inlet pipe is crucial. The only air that can enter the filter is what has been drawn through opening.

If you have an enclosed induction kit yes. If you have a normal open filter, like mine, I cant imagine it making diddly difference.
