    Post Vxr Or Garrett Turbo

    Looking to upgrade my hybrid thats on its way out I think and dont know which is the best blower to go for along with a beter manifold.

    It depends on what sort of power you want i guess.

    Garetts will turn the astra into a missile so other things need doing such as internals, gearbox , diff and big brakes.

    Personally, Im going for a Garett either the T35 or the T29. Either way alot of work is needed internally, to cope with the huge power that comes with them.

    Id say go for the garett if you want 300bhp +

    gt28 would be your best bet.

    max 290bhp = VXR
    300bhp + = Garrett


    Regal tuned Astra VXR.

    It will be interesting to see what power the dbilass manifold and T28 Garrett makes and where Regal put this into their 'stage' list.

    Anything over 300bhp for the ZLET though and I'd expect that you will need to upgrade your internals as Jonathan points out. And this is where the big bucks start.

    Vxr's are a different story though as they already have stronger internals.

    Im allready running eds 3 at 283bhp/326lb torque so I wd be silly not to upgrade to the gt28 and the dblias manifold. Clutch,gearbox are done need to do the quaife diff,vxr injectors + what internals....
