Im surprised no one has mentioned the all important common denominator OFFSET !
What rims are u running and what width, offset and tyre size.

As long as the dimensions are within acceptable limits for the H then a 30mm drop shouldn't pose any problems.

Let us know the above and we cant point u in the right direction.

Good luck and remember to post some pics once u get the car sitting as it should!

Bart no offense but that's the tyre size not the offset. The offset is stamped on the inside of the wheel, usually on one of the spokes. It's commonly called ET and that's what the wheel will have stamped on it, something like ET37.

Are the 18" wheels aftermarket ones or are they the genuine Vauxhall 18" wheels for the Mk5 which look like these

    Those are ET37 wheels.
Also have a look for something like 17x7.5J as that the wheel size and also it's width.

Oddjob there aftermarket ones mate Decorsa 18" wheels ill have a look later for the wheel width and let you know if its there but i should be able to lower 30mm with no prob i would think.
whats the best springs to go for as ive used pi springs in the past they were good but just to hard a ride really want progressive rate springs so there comfy when driving normally but stiffen up under hard driving.
were the best place to get springs from and get them fitted
    many thanks for help guys

Eibachs are the best springs. Vogtland come a very close second.

Don't know where you are based so can't say anywhere that would fit them. Wouldn't go lower than -30mm unless your replacing the shocks as well.
