    Coupe alarm

Does the SE2 2003 come with an alarm, as mine has one, which works off the remote and all, but the little red alarm lighty thing is on the bit of plastic where the heated seat button goes (in front of the ashtray), so is it standard one or aftermarket, cos i need to disable it to wire my amps up. And obviously if its an afermarket one, how will i know how to disable it without going off?..

    Thanks Jamee.

Why do you need to disable the alarmto wire the amps up?

If you want to disconnect the battery, just make sure you do it with the ignition on or within 15 seconds of switching the ignition off or the sounder will go off, upsetting the neighbours.

I think it's in the manual that comes with the car somewhere, so I'd check before you follow any of my instructions!

seems like an aftermarket one if the red light is in the TC/heated seat panel. std vauxhall alarm light is in the hazard light switch

That will be a aftermarket one

I wouldn't worry about disableing it unless you have a problem with the siren going off when you disconnect the battery.

If that does happen try and find out what make alarm it is so you can be advised how to put it into "valet" mode
