Not at all happy with so called refurbished unit!

Bought my current car back in Oct 05 and within a few hours realised it had a dodgy PAS pump. Took a while to sort it out and eventually 4mths later bought a remanufactured pump with a 2yr guarantee and all was perfect......until 20mins ago! Started car - and the old problem is back!

Checked fuses, battery, alterator output etc and all is correct.

So emailed company just now requesting another exhange unit - luckily it came with a 2yr guarantee but still this is feckin useless in my opinion.

It was hard enough to steer the car without power assistance before - but now Ive got the 18's its a hell of a challenge!

Lets just hope they can get a new unit sent asap so I can look forward to some more hours lying under the car not! gggrr

No doubt you mods will think this is wrong section so feel free to move it...

    Regards
    Not a happy bunny!!!

with any luck your replacement unit will last longer - remember to try and get a new guarantee since it's a new part again.

Can you not claim agaist them to have it fitted by a garage?

A garage I used to work at would charge the cost of labour to the clutch company when we replaced them under warrnty

Im not quite sure - but tbh it wouldnt really be any benefit to me - as I know how to change the unit and only takes about an hour max - whereas a garage would have the car probably all day and feck knows when i would be able to book it in for. Good thinking though, will bear that in mind for next time the pump goes tits up! lol

Well still no sign of pump today so looks like they were fobbing me off by sayin delivery today! Oh well time will tell
