    Started sound deadning this afternoon...

Yesterday I went to my I.C.E dealer and bought 7 rolls of Dynamat X-treme to start sound deadning my car, I started at the rear, stripped out all of the boot linings and the tailgate trim, wiped down with a damp magic cloth to remove dust, grime etc, then roll by roll I unravelled and lay in the engine bay to soften it up then applied it to my boot, started off in the wheel well, working my way out onto the boot floor and up the sides of the boot wall to meet up to the roof lining.....Then I ran out!

Rang the I.C.E dealer to order more in, I still need to finish off the back of the boot floor (as you can see from my pics) tailgate, then continue under the back seats basically to the front of the car, also going to do the doors and eventually roof lining, I really hope it's going to make a difference once the install's in!

I'm pretty confident I've done a good job of fitting it so far, just been taking my time, one sheet at a time, pressing all the edges into place and cutting smaller pieces to cover any gaps, my hands are cut to ribbons though, not off the stanley knife or anything but the edge of the Dynamat, sharp stuff that carries no warning oh well, no pain, no gain!

I just thought it would be worth while, and the people at my I.C.E dealer who are helping me out highly recommended it, I suppose it makes sense that if I'm having a sub/amp combination that will kick out 1000w RMS it's the sensible thing to do

I'll keep the progress pics coming as it happens

good job mate, looks the part, and sure it will help you no end. I'll be doing mine hopefully in the summer ready for a nice install, dreading the cost of the sound deadening though as i know its pretty expensive
