    Advise please....

    Ok,

Toyed with the idea of getting newer quicker car as only have a Mk4 1.6 Sxi. Have new job and car getting dents and scratches from car park every day. Therefore as much as I'll try and keep this car looking ok I don't wanna get a brancd new motor just for it to get battered by @rse holes in car parks.

    So......

Thinking I could spend up to £300 on the car to make it quicker but don't know what to do. This is where I need the help.......

    I currently have...

Remus sports tube with Peco backbox and
Derestricted airbox and K&N panel filter

What next? Will be keeping car for another 2-3 years so will be worth it

your not gona get much more power out of a 1.6 by remapping it maybe 5-10bhp, chips dont make to much difference in a n/a car, it would jus get rid of flat spots and maybe increase the rev limiter by 500rpms

I would expect the same result with most mods to a na 1.6 to be honest though.

When was the last time you had a full service. TBH spending £300 on an engine mod IMO isn't worth it. You'll not gain much, and you'll do well to notice the difference.

If your keeping the car treat it to a full check over/service.

/\/\ As above....plus I'd recommend getting some upgraded stoppers - may not be to every1s opinion - but what I would do.
