I'm a new face around here, i've been visiting the forums for a couple of weeks but wasn't going to post till I got my astra, which I thought would have been ALOT sooner than it's frustratingly becoming.
Just looking for a few opinions and a bit of advice really. The situation is, I have agreed to purchase a black 1.8 sxi (AC) 51 reg Astra 3dr MK4. (wooo!) Well, the kid I am buying it off has a private reg on it and doesn't want to see it out of his hands before the original plate is restored. I agreed to a deal on the 30th of March and left him with a deposit of £100, he said he would give me a call the following week when the plate had been restored. He has filled in the neccessary forms and submitted them to the DVLA so they can supply him with a replacement tax disc and log book appropiate to that of the vehicle registration. He said to me they should be here by Wedesnday the 12th. However he has not received them yet and he sent the form off Monday the 3rd of April and I understand things like this can take anything up to 6 weeks to be processed!!!
Is there any reason as to why I cannot have the car now whilst the registration ammendments are being restored? So I can say to him, "can I have the car now then please?" As the sooner I get my astra baby, obviously the better!
Any help would be appreciated! Cheers!
