    annoying rattle from the rear

I have had this annoying rattle from my Astra GSi since i bought it, thought it was the spare wheel out of place, but no, then thought it was pacel shelf, and it wasnt that.

spoke to someone else who had the same problem they said it was the back window and had it replaced under warrenty.

has anyone else had this problem??

    cheers

I had the same problem thought it was the parcel shelf or the seats not snapped back in the right place...
Took out the strange rubber things, moved them about on the hatch boot liner still no change.
Then someone on here was having a problem with their coupe, and someone else suggested unscrewing the rubber slam bung things either side on the back of the car. Worked a treat no more rattles, must of been the boot moving around a bit against the locking mechanism..
Id give that a go hope it helps.

With the boot open on the left and right hand side of the boot opening are two rubber slam bung (not sure of their name) things. If you unscrew them a turn (trial and error) it will push your boot out fractionally when closed so it wont move around so much when moving.
    cheers

they are 2 rubber bungs about size of a conker (only example i could think of) at each side of base of boot door underneath then all ya do is turn them a quarter, to the left, at a time each one and close the boot to see if ya can still open it ok. There is little notch on it so ya can see how much you have turned it.

I recommend only turnin them only 90 -180 degs for a short while to see if it cures the tapping. It did on my GSi
