    rattle from precat pipe area

ever since i got my pre cat pipe from courtenay and also my scorpion cat back exchaust i have an annoying raspy rattle that seems to b coming from under the front of the car (pre cat area) usually when purring the car from between 1000-2000 rpm or during normal driving eg,though tunnels or close to walls or parked cars etc, u hear it clear as day.
as u can probably understand its very annoying any ideas would b appreciated as the local garages arnt coming up with anything.
cheers in advance for any help

could very well be a snapped manifold-headstud. very common on the turbos. have a look in the engine bay for snapped studs and black carbon seeping from the joint between the head and the turbo manifold.

i get the same..... cant be assed any more to find it. Mine sounds like it blowing to start then shuts up. Poss broken flexi joint or dodgy fitment of the pre-cat pipe?
