    spark plugs

in the last 2 months my car has killed 4 sets of spark plug, and i'm just about to fit the 5 set, am i doing something wrong when fitting them?
i got the ones that courtenay sport do for about £32, once they come i just fit them, i have asked a mate and they said i have to gauge them, what the hell does that mean and how do i do that.??

    cheer for any help.

possible oil leak ? could be getting them covered in the black stuff thus killing them.

guageing - he means make sure the gap is correct...
Although most are set pretty close to what they should be.

Better to find the problem, as SHaan says...
What condition are they in ??
Got any pics of the knackered ones ???

there black, but there dry not wet so i don't think it's an oil leak.

    Haynes:

Carbon Fouling - Dry, black, sooty deposits
    Fault: Over-rich fuel
    Check: Fueling, air filter..

When did you last check/clean your air filter ?
    or had a service ?

Can You Just Unplug The Old One, Or Do I Need To Empty The Fuel First?

    Red face

Yes easy to change a clip on each end and a very slight fuel spill (half a cup) make sure you get 2 new clips when getting the filter. It took me longer to jack the car up than remove and relace the filter. good luck
