    Arrow Bodyshop spraying question...

My bonnet and front bumper is quite heavely stone chipped... so i want a re-spray on them... now from reading a few posts about re-sprays there seems to be many different types of spraying (2 pac etc...) i want mine to be like factory finishs, exactly the same as the rest of the car... so what do i ask for? guessing my 2001 astra is lacquer'd too?
so do i just ask for a respray in metalic midnight black with a coat of lacquer?
also, i know it will vary on quality but what sort of price would i be expected to pay for a very good spray job?
any help would be great... C9

possibly get away with just doing the panels but most times at work i would go into the tops of the wings so i get a good match

The sprayer will know what he's doing, one coat of laquer will not last past a few months you need about 3, which will be sanded down inbetween coats to reduce orange peel and pits.

    Good luck

Chris, dont concern yourself with what paint is needed etc...
If the sprayers is any good, he will know exactley what to use.

I would approximate £200 - £350 ish for what you need doing.

we normally work on about £35-40 a panel for paint and £22-25 for labour, to be honest stone chips can involve a fair bit of prep on a bumper, so to paint the bonnet and bumper and blend into the wings you should look to pay around £350-400 for a good job

ok cool thanks peeps... i obviously dont want the orange peel effect especially on the bonnet, is there anyway of not getting this? is it just that it has to be sanded down between coats?

yep orange peel is due to improper paint mixture or paint flow, it must be sanded between coats.
