    Angry Insurance on springs upgrade.

Was looking at buying some 30/30 springs for my 2.2, contacted insurance comapny yesterday to see how it would affect me.

I explained what it was he cam back to me and said, it would put an extra £92 on my premium and put my excess up an extra £250 making it £500 and my GF who is a named driver on the car her excess upto £700!

I think this is crazy will be looking for a more mod friendly insurance comapny next time.

I know this makes no difference but i am 25 and so is my GF.

So no lowering springs for me then.

Thats with Vauxhall, but not sure who there under writers are, the guy i was talking to said that they were really clamping down on modifications.

I might have to try out Performance Direct or apparently Adrian Flux are supposed to be quite good.

Yeah, vauxhall insurance don't like mods at all. Best swapping to a more mod friendly insurer really.
