    Astra 1.8 info

Hi i have got an Astra MK4 1.6 SXI on have been offered an MK4 1.8CD. I had a look on parkers at the figgers. Is it right that 0-60 in 8.5 seconds thats 2 seconds quicker than the 1.6 ??

if its built after 2002 then that is correct yes.

    the 1.8 115ps is 9.5 iirc and the 125ps is 8.5 iirc

The more powerful engine is used in all coupes and hatches/saloons after 2002. So older than 2002 and it will be the less powerful engine

    its ok...

there not performance cars thou so you cant expect it to go like something off a shuvel.

It will drink alot more fuel than your 1.6, i get what i would describe as poor economy out of my se2

i doubt the CD will have a close ratio gearbox so I don't think it'll feel much quicker in real world terms compared to your 1.6 SXi.
