    Question New discs/pads

Whilst the car is off the road, I think I will replace the front brake set up, as its on the list thats got to be done this year.

I have 16's as standard on the car at the moment, so what I want to know is will a 308mm setup fit within the rim ok?!

And whats the a recommended best brand to go with, have been looking at the EBC stuff and looks good enough, any other decent brands on the market to consider?

    Some will and some won't

Danny's got his 308's to fit under later post 03 16" SXi rims, but they defo won't fir under my earleir pre 03 SXi/SRi ones (due to the curve of the spokes).

280mm disc+pad set is £42+vat trade club from Vauxhall and i've been surprised how good a set up it is as standard. They've only started to fade on me once and that was only after some serious loony B road driving.

I will most probably be going for a set of 17" Boss XTS at the end of the year.

Are Boss a softer alloy then?!

There arnt actually many alloys out there I really like, the only OE ones I would go for are the Sports Stars but can't justify the cost for them! Its not going to be before the end of the year before I get some, so plenty of time to photoshop them all!!!!!
