I'm of today, not that im in the union, just that i cant get into school - working as a IT tech (placement)
We're officially on strike, but as I'm not a member of Unison (yet) I've chosen to work from home rather than cross a picket line.
I could have striked but im a scab! Im a unison member and a network manager in a school.
I was going to work till 65 anyway...... But might have liked to leave at 60. If this strike fails I may strike next time.

I pay 150 a month and my employer pays 300......... I should be able to retire at 60 if I can afford it! And why should teachers, doctors, nurses be any different?
All our buses are on strike today. I'm sure the traffic was totally broken this morning.

It shouldnt matter what job you do.
We should all retire at the same age.
there are people on strike out side the civic centre which is the building next to mine, on Lunch I think I'm gonna go and cheer them on, hand out bottles of water and start a fire in an old oil drum and poke it with a bit of wood from time to time.
My cheers will include:
C'MON LADS, THATS IT, STAND STILL.
YOU, YES YOU, STAND OVER THERE, ITS MORE EFFECTIVE.
anyone think of any others?
