Bonnet cooling options - suggestions please

Ok, along with a hike in power, I'll be generating even more heat under the bonnet. So I need to have some kind of bonnet cooling vents, it's inevitable, so no 'you're ruining your 888' posts please!

Anyone got pics of any bonnet venting....I was thinking of the single deep middle vent (like Ken's (aka oddjob) - the big middle vent only). Although the only one I can find is very costly (+ painting).

I was also thinking of louvres as an alternative like Ian Percivals coupe, but starting to think that they may not be enough.

Any pics at all appreciated, no matter how wacky, I'm looking for ideas.

Nah, it's not a styling mod, purely functional, need to get rid of as much heat as possible, so thinking just above and behind the manifold. Besides, I'd have to cut the inner wings as well for those to work. Thanks for the idea though.

Yeah i think the best option is the reiger one you described at first, think its the rieger GT something?? but as you say it will be costly unless you could get a body shop to make one out of your original bonnet for cheaper? seen a guy on here a few months back do one? just a thought.

I think oddjobs bonnet is about the best I've seen. It's very easy to **** up a bonnet. Steer clear of nasty F50/Evo/ and the new scooby vent....and anything like that.

.....and at the back of the bonnet, something like a Merc E class bonnet vent, slimline and discrete.

What about a carbon vented one (Painted on the top but carbon under so its seen when the bonnet is up)?

If your going to spend that much on the reiger one you might aswell pay the bit extra and get a carbon one so you gain from the lower weight.

    Would completely ruin it IMHO.

The current scooby vent is even worse than the Evo vent.
