can you take an ECU on a plane?

This might seem like a weird question but there is method in my maddness

do you think security would let you take an ECU on a plane due to it being electronic and they cant open it?

also would an x-ray scan at the airport damage it incase they were to do that?

just that regals is a little too far away from me and i dont trust royal mail (cos if they lost it i would be ****ed and they have been knowen to loose stuff)

so an option for me would be to fly down by Flybe and fly back and if i book it in advance it is cheap enough

    so opinions welcome folks

isn't it only 4 screws to open the ECU up?

or pay a courier and insure it for the cost of a new ECU and setting up?

I doubt you will be able to take in on the plane itself.

I tried to take a GPS demodulator as hand luggage back from Egypt and they wouldtn let me, had to put it in the hold.
