    Which engine is better in the mk4 sri ?

    1.8, 2.0, or 2.2?

    what sort of fuel consumption you gettin out of that .... at teh mo my vectras bein well shit ... struggling to get 300 miles out of a full tank

    i would say about 95 miles to £10 not to bad for a 2.2 i dont think ?

    2.2's are "rarer" than the 1.8 and 2.0. (i've not looked an Autotrader to back that up tho)

    There's not much between the 1.8 and 2.0 in performance.

    They're all reliable, as long as they've been looked after. If they've been "ragged" when cold or not "run in" properly, they can use oil, but just make sure it's with in the level and it'll be alright.

    Timing belts need changing every 40,000 miles on all engines, except for the 2.2 which has a chain and needs doing every 100,000 miles.
