Computer Guys Help (Writting To DVD)

Hope some computer knowledge people can help me out, i have a load of saved footage from last years shows on my computer, i have edited it all together, added music etc and made them all (fairly) watchable, but ideally i would like to put the footage onto dvd to watch on tv, i have used the windows video editor to make and save them, anyone know how to get them working in my dvd player?

all depends on the format you burned it onto the dvd as. if you used media player to burn onto the dvd - then it would only play back on a dvd player that supports such playback. however if you use something like Nero or Easy Cd creator to burn it - you could choose the option to make it a video format - thus would play back on any dvd player.

if you save it as file type .AVI then nero will allow it to burn in video format as far as I remember. you should be able to just open the file, save as, and change it to file type avi at the bottom.
