    The Budget

Cars with the lowest rate of emissions would pay no vehicle excise duty but the 1% of most polluting cars would pay £210

Mr Brown postponed the usual annual inflation increase in fuel duty until 1 September

IIRC those with cars that dont pullute wont pay tax, those with low emisions will pay about £60 a year, those with a bit more polluting cars will pay £120, then next level is £160 then the big polluters will pay £210. Trying to go off memory.

Right doing some research our Zlets produce 214g/km of CO2.....

That puts us into the £190 per year tax bracket!

    Thanks Gordon Brown Ass!

the new road tax changes are only effective for vehicles purchased from today. vehicles in excess of 225g/km of CO2 are the ones affected by this and will be charged £210 a year. the zero tax rule only applies to cars with zero emissions (not low emissions) so that leavs the honda insight if im not mistaken. As Enkidu said the ZLET stands at 214g/km but as its not a new car then you'll still be payin whatever tax u were paying before under the previous scheme.
