    Manifold

Has anyone or no of anyone that has fitted one of regals dblias manifolds? Really want to no how it would run on a stock turbo. Has anyone contacted them to find if a group buy would be possible?
Have we heard anymore about courtenays manifold development?

No, I believe the dbilas manifold is sold with either the VXR unit or the GT28. The IHI unit has a tubular manifold, due to the extremely high temps!!!

I'm interested in this myself as I do not want to touch the software yet, I want to get all the mechanics done first.

My brother-in-law was down there a few weeks ago and according to Chris it gives upto 30+bhp on a standard unit, providing the unit is in good condition, but I do not know anyone who's had in done.

The manifold can be mated to the standard blower, it has given a proven 20bhp on a VXr, maps will be coming shortly !

Y do they always only quate bhp and not lbft! Dam well bugs me,what do people think of this manifold? Seems a bit expensive to me,especially as a mate of mine got to manifolds made up for two different cars and if only cost £350,why is this so special? Would it hert to have one made myself?

Your mate will have had a tubular manifold mate up to suit whichever turbo he was intending to use. Dbilas have cast these manifolds, and the time spent making the moulds casting the manifold then machining the rough cast have to be paid for.

BTW, if you intend to use a GT28, the manifold has to be machined to suit, so if you dint like it, you cant just go back to the KKK turbo instead, as it wont fit anymore.......

Is there a big advantage to using the T28 over the KKK turbo?

Can you not get a tublar manifold to fit the standard turbo?

If you cant is it worth it?

Lee, the standard turbo manifold is actually part of the casting for the turbo itself. I'm sure KKK make a turbo housing with a flange on it but this and the fabrication of a new manifold probably costs more than the Dbilas/Regal one!
