VXR220/VXR map onto an Astra G Turbo?

Ok folks, has anyone asked Vaux to remap their cars with either the VXR or the VXR220 (220bhp) map?

I know the VXR is a Z20LEH and not an LET. So that is prob not gonna work but if anyone knows any different please say.

The VXR220 however is a Z20LET except with a nice 20bhp extra ... I just want summet to put me on until I do Courtenay Phase 2/3. Would this work?

I had the GSI map put on my car a few month back and it was cheap and was meant to give an extra 8bhp ... if the 189bhp is anything to be believed.

The VXR220 essentially uses a stage 1 hybrid turbo, and various other bells and whistles associated with Zlet tuning to achieve the factory safe 220BHP. there were lots of AMM issues as they used oiled foam filters which barbequed all AMM's in their wake, so most Vaux dealers went back to paper ones under warranty claims, IIRC.

Another factor to consider is that the power is delivered in a different way in a VX, it has to be smooth and progressive, to prevent any serious oversteer/brown trouser moments, which is what we like in the front wheel drive versions as we feel the 'kick'. So to be honest, the VXR220 map, in a FWD car would feel boring to drive IMO.

Didn't the VX have reduced torque too so it is more progressive to drive ??

So basically the VXR220 map on an Astra G Turbo would be of no significant gain? except to say "I have 220bhp" instead of 200 ... ?

Gutted. I thought that would've been a nice cheap hike in power.

    Ah well nevermind
