I never knew there was a forerunner to the OPC/GSi. Was a 2 litre G running at 160bhp.
Click Technik and then OPC 1.
OPC1 had a modified X20XEV known as the X20XER engine.
It was a mapped, had high lift cams, pocketed pistons an manifold, and modified Cylinder Head.
The Astra OPC was a limit run of cars (3000) that Opel produced for homologation into F2 ralleying. The engines were reworked to get more BHP,These were given the engine code X20XER. We have a number of engine kits available that can be built into Mk4 Astra's 2.0 16V that once remapped with the OPC program will be the same spec and power as these OPC originals @ 165 BHP. Alternativly the engine kits can be purchased for Vectra, kit cars or what ever (one has been installed a Sunbeam rally car on throttle bodies)
Recast Holden/OPC cylinder head with valves.

It had a set of Recaro seats that were trimmed in the same interiotr pattern as fitted to the early Astra SRi/SXi/Sport seats. I so want a set of them... mmmmmm
