Exclamation ***AstraSport Standalone Browser by Sploodge***

Been playing about with making my own browser ( just playing ) and have made one with only one purpose in life and thats to visit AstraSport.

Its still a BETA at the moment but you can download and have a play if you like.. The browser is completely standalone so requires NO installation. Just double click the file and browse AstraSport to your hearts content.

The browser is also small ( just 923k in size ) and will not take up valuable resources on your PC..

I have tested it to the max on XP Pro and Home... I have also scanned it FULLY for viruses.. It contains NO Spyware and other crap either!! Also please not that me ( Sploodge ) nor AstraSport take any responsibility for anything that might happen from using this program..

    Install Notes:
Download the file below "astraaportbrowser.zip" and extract
    Run "AstraSport.exe"

    Changes 12/03/06:
Added Google Search Functio and ImageShack upload window..

Please post any problems and/or suggestions..

    Posting on said browser now

It's a nice idea and would be great to put into pratice as it takes everyone to the main front page rather than short cut into the forums

Sometimes it does feel a bit slower than IE although that might just be me.

EDIT: Ignore that other comment I made as it's the same in IE but because I enter through the back door I never get it

Can you fix it so the forwards/back buttons on my mouse works with the browser?

And a way of closing the imageshack popup, rather than slinging it to the back?

Otherwise very good, but do I really need this?

The imageshack windows has a closing button ( red X ) i the bottom right of the window..

As for the mouse buttons doing the forwards/back, I will need to borrow one from work to test it...

The point of the browser is just me playing about with making a simple, standalone and small browser that has good/useful functions.. Making it an AstraSport browser is just a way fro me to get it tested in the open and allows the tester(s) to visit somewere they like at the same time...

Cheers Andy - it all makes sense now.

The only trouble is that the imageshck popup positions it'self slighty off screen (down to the right), and I can't move it up/overto get to the close button......

I assume you have a screen resolution of 1024*768?

The browser defaults to this size and seems to move the imageshack window right for you... I will have this fixed in a completely new clean design I am making.... Cheers for pointing that out to me Geoff..
