Help needed for buying aftermarket hazard switch

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Savage-LED-Pus...QQcmdZViewItem

Looking at buying this to fit to my G as I have a centre console with a 7" screen fitted in place of the top din slot and middle heater vents, so at present there's no place for my hazard switch so it's tucked away behind the screen, if I bought the above switch will it be simple enough to wire it in? I was thinking of positioning it where the 12v lighter is, hopefully the hole in the surround for the 12v lighter is the same diameter as the switch, any help appreciated, cheers

a search would turn up a lot of info

btw, the hole for the lighter is too big for the hazard switch.... it's not a direct fit by any means.

I've used this particular switch in the past. It can be used, provided you have some knowledge of autoelectrics.

What exactle is involved in the wiring? I'm comfortable with I.C.E installs, wired my snooper, various lighting, xbox etc.

Also what could I use to mount it correctly?

if you search, you will find a wiring guide picture i uploaded which should help...

to mount it you will have to fill the hole, and then re-drill to the correct size. it would obviously need painting or similar after fillering and drilling.

i have done this myself btw here's a oldish pic (click for big)
