    Unhappy My doggy...

    ...was put down today

I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, I wanted to go and see him even though he'd already gone, but I still wanted to say goodbye. I'm gonna miss him. I was only looking after him yesterday At least he's not in any pain anymore

Sorry to hear of your loss, its heartbreaking when the time comes to decide when to put your dog down i know, but you do get comfort in knowing that he wont be suffering anymore. Its the kindest thing to do.

My dad is heart broken. He thinks it's his fault. He said he could see it in Cedar's eyes that he knew he was getting worse.

It was horrible though seeing him like he was. He had a lump on his paw and they said it was a cyst and said they weren't gonna operate cuz he was old and they didn't think he'd come round from the operation, but then it burst and so they operated and took it off. It took him about four days to come round from the anaesthetic properly and then after that he just couldn't eat anything, he couldn't keep anything down. He also couldn't breathe and was just drooling constantly and coughing up froth. I was cleaning him up yesterday as he was getting that messy.

So dad took him in this morning and the vet said that his wind pipe was bent. I know it was their fault. He was never like that before he went in, it was only after he'd had that pipe down his throat during the operation. I'm so annoyed cuz we know it's their fault, but can't prove it.

Spiting image of my aunts dog.

    Shes had two now.

Thing with red setters is they are prone t being ill.

My aunts current dog has cataracts (had them removed once) and other illnesses. Her first was put down as he couldnt walk. She had to push him around ina pram. Funny sight when you think of it.

Atleast he isn't in pain now.

And you can't really blame the vet IMO. They new there would be complications if they operated so didn't in the first place. But in the end had to to try and make him bette. Unfortunatly it didnt turn out how it should have.

They were the ones who bent his wind pipe though, there was nothing wrong with it before he went in and had the operation on his paw.

His back legs were quite weak as well. We had to carry him down the stairs and help him get up onto the sofa.
