    Mk5 Turbo / VXR intake...

    right went to local vaux dealer, wee man wacked up the old computer said he had ordered me a vxr intake but heres what i got.......




    This is it compared to the old veccy c one..



    part num here..



    guessing this is just a standard Z20 intake off the Mk5 aye? if it is then anyone got the part nums for the actual vxr so i can get these monkies to get it right

    They veccy is also a smoother shape and a better (more constant) cross-section throughout.

    See if your ali pipe will connect the two - that's what i'm considering doing to get rid off the rubbing on the top rad hoase

    its too narrow, checked that already..

    what i did get was the contector for the vxr so might try that...

    other idea is maybe cut off the large oval part of the pipe where its sposed to fit to the connector and try clamp over the ali or vxr/mk5 connector (as these are round both ends)

    i been given part number of 55558368. is that the right one for the vxr pipe
    astra coupe now sold and driving fiesta ST now sold and awaiting mk3 astra to arrive
