I'm told it's possible, but can't find anyone who's done it!
C16NV is the single-point injection 1.6 8v, as found in Mk3 and Mk4 astras, with 75bhp. The C16SE is the same block, head etc with multipoint injection and different ECU, and somewhere around 100bhp - so quite lively. (I think I'm right that they're still the same 'C' engine codes in the Mk4 - please correct me if I'm wrong!!)
I think this would probably have been easier with early Mk3 engines, but harder with Mk4s now because of the immobiliser chip in the key.
My mate has just bought a Mk4 with single-point, and it really needs more zest!
It would be the same principle with 1.4 and 1.8 8v engines.
Anyone know anything about this? Any theories?
