spare wheel size on 2.2 hatchback?

Can some one tell me what size the spare wheel is on a 2003 2.2 hatchback.

I havnt got the car at the moment i presume it is 16 as that was what the size of the standard wheels where, if some one could just confirm that would be great.

Reason for asking i am going to get the 308 upgrade done, i have got 17's but i hear that 16's will still fit with the 308 discs, this is just incase i have a puncture etc and need to put the spare on. Will it fit or does the 16 have to be an alloy?

I could be wrong, but the spare is usually a 15" steel with a 195-60/15 tyre. Certainly is on the SXi with 16" alloys. The spare is a very tight fit in the well, and sticks out the top marginally, so I can't see them using anything different.

I can confirm the spare tyre size on mine is also 195 60R15 88V.
Unfortunately i only have standard discs all round so i can't comment on the 308 disc.
    Hope this helps

    Just checked on the 03 brochure ( http://www.vmproductforum.co.uk/serv...003ed2amen.pdf )

17" rim on the GSi have a 205-50/16 steel spare. So, standard 16" steel rim, probably the same as a Vectra rim I'd imagine.

my 2.2 hatch has a 195/50/16 tyre same as the wheels but 195 instead of 205 (guessing for space reasons)

my car has a 195/15/60 spare like most others. i'm sure you could get it over the brakes (with the aid of a hammer mabe)
Fitted options: Folding mirrors, cruise control, dual tone horn, remap.
